EICR Reports

Landlec: Qualified, compliant, reliable

Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) are formal assessments of wiring and electrical systems, carried out by qualified electricians – such as the Landlec team.

As experienced and professional electrical contractors, we have been providing EICR inspections for domestic and commercial clients across Berkshire for the last 15 years.

Landlords in the UK are legally required to have EICR tests every five years with copies provided to new tenants and local authorities upon request. Failure to comply in this regard can result in a fine of up to £30,000.

Employers, meanwhile, must legally ensure that electrical equipment is maintained under the Electricity at Work Regulations and, as such, EICR testing can prove particularly invaluable in this regard.

Homeowners are not legally required to have an EICR, but it is recommended to have electrical testing carried out every ten years, when you buy a new home or if you’re undertaking significant renovation work.

EICR inspections must be carried out by a registered electrician to ensure that installations are safe for continued use, identifying any potential issues, damage, wear and tear or non-compliant hazards.

Landlec, as a team of independent electrical contractors, is approved by the NAPIT and has all the necessary qualifications and experience required to provide EICR tests and certifications, in full compliance with all relevant electrical regulations.

A thorough visual inspection of your wiring will be conducted, followed by both dead and live circuit testing to ensure that fuses, sockets, wiring and consumer units are all fit for purpose.

An overall verdict of either Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory will be given and any faults revealed, as well as the actions required for resolution.

Our Process

Get in Touch

Book an appointment with a Landlec electrician either online, using our contact form, or over the phone on 07724209879. Alternatively, you can email hello@landlec.co.uk and a member of the team will be in touch. We’re available for emergency callouts 24/7, as well as standard work.

Visual Inspections & Functionality Checks

Once we’ve found out more about the job in question, we can arrange a site survey at a time convenient to you. Depending on the complexity of the electrical work required, the time taken to properly assess the job can vary.

In-Depth Testing

After the site survey has been conducted and we have a better idea of the level of work involved, we can then arrange a date for the job to start. For smaller projects or emergency electrical work, on-the-day appointments are available.
